If I buy raw fish, and run it under a faucet... would it be sashimi?

I really, REALLY like salmon sashimi. I want to make some of my own, but being 13, I have very limited resources. So if I run to the ACME, buy some salmon, and clean it... would it hypothetically be sashimi, or is there something the chefs do specially to make it as good as it is?
