My shower keeps shutting off when I turn it on?

When I turn my shower faucet on low pressure the shower works, but when I increase the pressure it shuts off. This only takes about a second, and has just recently started to happen. The bath faucet and sink both work. Anyone know how to fix it, or have any ideas?
