Does someone's political party effect how you look at them as a person?

I'm on neither side, but it can make a difference to me. However, I make sure to judge the person by what they say and do, not who they support. Just because they identify as "republican" or "democrat" doesn't mean they approve of everything the party does. After all, being one or the other should mean you believe in the ideas the party stands for, not agree with everything the politicians of power at that time are doing.
