How to convince my parents to give me my phone back?

I what I think you should do is just talk to you mother and show her that you are mature and responsible enough to have a cell phone. Clean up around the house, Do you homework, stay out of trouble and Make good grades. When I was in 7th Grade my mother took my phone because she caught me cutting class, but I thought leaving the house without her knowing would have made her give me my phone back cause she couldnt get in contact with me but I thought wrong.
