My hose faucet does not leak until I turn it on and then it starts leaking. Is the pipe cracked inside?

No! Is your faucet (hose bib) lesking at the handle shaft? If so take a adjustable wrench & tighten the nut(packing nut) under the handle. This should stop the leak, if it keeps leaking then replace the faucet completely
