How can i stop the bathtub leak!?

Sounds like you missed a gasket or bought the wrong one. If the faucet is off, and you get a trickle, I doubt that it is mechanical particularly since everything seems to be newly replaced. I'd compare the new gasket with the old one really closely (you're sure you put the new one in, right?)
